About Scott's Woodcrafts

I’m Scott. I’ve been working wood for 25 years.

I have always been fascinated by woodworking. Buying my first house is what really got me started. Things needed fixing, so I fixed them. Every repair needed a tool, and the tools added up to a shop.

That shop is a two-car garage in Poulsbo, Washington. Cars don’t belong in garages. Tools do.

I love figured wood of any kind: burl, curly, bird’s eye, and anything spalted. The grain does half the work. My job is to show off its good side.

My favorite is lathe work: salt cellars, beer tap handles, bowls, and whatever a good blank wants to become. I also build shadow boxes, cutting boards, and charcuterie boards, and take some custom orders.

Nothing leaves my shop unless I would put it on display in my own house.

Turnaround depends on the project. Tell me what you have in mind and I’ll give you time and cost.

The shop also sells PDF woodworking plans for people who want to build it themselves, and shop-humor shirts, mugs, and posters for the woodworkers on your gift list.

Local pickup is easy on the Kitsap Peninsula. Everything else ships from Poulsbo.
